Dear Editor,
The Garson bridge bondholders (BH’s) have spoken and plan to raise the bridge toll to $5. I think the citizens of Santa Rosa County need to speak, by boycotting this bridge all together. Yes, this will be inconvenient and I do use this bridge multiple times during the year. Unfortunately, it’s the only way to get through to these bondholder and the state that this relationship is not working. Since short-term myopic solutions seems to be the BH’s only priority, perhaps the threat of default will get their attention. Then this bridge toll situation can be addressed and reorganized by the state with a reasonable, empathetic, and rational solution.
