Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office reported a home invasion on Joyce Phillips Lane became deadly Saturday morning at 7 a.m. when the suspect entering the home through the front door was shot by the resident. SRSO Public Information Officer Rich Aloy said the suspect was identified as Gary Savoy Phillips, 38 years old.
Aloy said any charges resulting from this incident are dependent on the outcome of the investigation.
