Milton High School getting ready for Homecoming

MILTON — Milton High School's campus will bustle will many activities throughout the week of Homecoming.

Homecoming fever has struck, as the classes and clubs are busy planning for the float, car, and door competitions.

The schedule includes the following:

  • A virtual Homecoming assembly on Oct. 5.
  • On Oct. 6, the Panther student body will be entertained at the Homecoming Pep Rally, which begins at 2 p.m.
  • The Homecoming Parade is 10:30 a.m. Oct. 7 (due to Friday being a planning day).
  • Friday’s events are the football game and crowning of the Homecoming Queen.

The Homecoming Parade begins at King Middle School at 10:30 a.m. It will travel south on Stewart Street, turn on Magnolia Street, then turn onto Byrom Street, proceed to Raymond Hobbs Street, and then turn back on Stewart Street. The parade will turn on Park Avenue and end in the south parking lot of MHS.

That evening, the 2021 Homecoming Candidates and Class Representatives will be introduced pre-game, beginning at 7 p.m. During half-time, Alaejha Zhani Moore, the 2020 Homecoming Queen, will crown the 2021 Homecoming Queen.

MHS senior Addison Stokes will serve as emcee for the evening’s events.
