MILTON — Here are the latest local events and services for people of faith.

UPCOMING

COMMUNITY OF CHRIST CHURCH will hold its annual bake sale and fish fry 7 a.m. Nov. 12 at Hall’s Hardware, 6606 U.S. Highway 90 in Milton. The fish fry will start at 11 a.m. with mullet, baked beans, coleslaw, and potato salad for $7 per plate.

Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church, 5339 Zero Lane, Milton, will observe its 139th anniversary on Nov. 13, 16, 23 and 27.

Here’s the schedule of speakers:

  • Sunday, Nov. 13, 3:30 p.m.: Elder Robert Lovelace, pastor of New Hope Primitive Baptist Church, Cedartown
  • Wednesday, Nov. 16, 7 p.m.: Rev. Roosevelt Rich, pastor of Oakfield Union Missionary Baptist Church, Pensacola
  • Wednesday, Nov. 23, 7 p.m.: Rev. Ronnie Burke, pastor of New Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, Pace
  • Sunday, Nov. 27, 3:30 p.m.: Rev. Vernon George, pastor of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church of Millview

RECURRING

BAGDAD UNITED METHODIST CHURCH: Holy Communion and Worship Service 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. Family Worship Service at 4540 Forsyth St., Bagdad. The message for Nov. 13 will be, "God's Work Ethic.” Holy Scripture will be from Isaiah 65:17-25 and 2 Thessalonians 3:6-13.

FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH OF MILTON: 8:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. Sundays. On Nov. 13, guest speaker Rev. Gerald Shelton will deliver his sermon, "Take Your Doxology With You,” using scripture from Psalm 100. On Wednesday, Nov. 16, Youth Drama begins at 5 p.m. Wednesday Friends begins at 6:15 p.m.

PLEASANT GROVE MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH: Sunday events include 10 a.m. Sunday school, 11 a.m. morning worship service, 6 p.m. men’s and women’s studies and 7 p.m. worship service. Wednesday night Building Tomorrow’s Church meetings are at 7 p.m. The church is located at 11130 Highway 87 N., Milton.
