Santa Rosa Schools continue their path to excellence with an amazing performance in reading, math and science across all grade levels. The excellent performance results of our students rest in the dedication of our teachers and administrators. “I applaud the effort of all stakeholders who provided input, support and direct instruction to our students. We are a better school district because parents, teachers, and administrators consistently support the academic performance of our children.” Our mantra remains, “We are educators acting as servant leaders who demand excellence and focus our efforts on students.”  – Tim Wyrosdick, Superintendent of Schools

DistrictFirst Place State Rankings:  8th grade Math, Reading and Math performance of our Homeless student population

DistrictSecond Place StateRankings:  5th grade reading, 7th grade reading, 9th grade reading, 10th grade reading, 5th grade math, 7th grade math

Successful performance is attributed to an overall continued focus on high expectations, individual student needs, strong professional development, and a focus on the use of high yield instructional strategies.  Instructional changes over the last few years have allowed us to significantly reduce the number of students needing remedial intervention particularly as students enter our middle schools and high schools.  Diane Scott, School Board Chairman, echoes these accolades: “The gains in student scores reflect interventions that were put in place to identify and assist students who needed additional help. These students will continue to benefit as they progress in school and the district can reallocate resources used for remediation.”  Our classroom teachers and instructional support staff are commended for their direct impact in this area. We celebrate the following schools and their growth in performance proficiency for this assessment cycle.
