PACE — Woodbine United Methodist Church will host a fundraiser for the people of Haiti and Ecuador.
The 4th Annual Mad Dash for Missions is set 6 p.m. June 3 at the Pace church. The event will include a 5K Fun Run, music, food and games.
Advanced registration on or before May 9 costs $25; afterward, the cost is $30. Non-runners can enjoy a fish fry during the run; the cost is $12 per person or $6 for children under 12.
Event proceeds will help fund Woodbine’s 2017 mission trips. Teams will work in Haiti to rebuild a church destroyed in the 2010 earthquake. The church is located in Gressier, a city of 33,000 people, about an hour outside the capital, Port-au-Prince.
The Ecuador mission will focus on working with children.
Area businesses can sponsor the event at levels ranging from $750 to $100.
