MILTON — The Milton Rotary Club learned about pre-diabetes and prevention from Ashley Turner of the Santa Rosa Health Department.

"People can have pre-diabetes for years but have no clear symptoms, so it often goes undetected until serious health problems show up," a Rotary media release states. "Pre-diabetes is a serious health condition where blood sugar levels are higher than normal, but not high enough yet to be diagnosed as diabetes.

"Pre-diabetes puts victims at increased risk of developing type two diabetes, heart disease and stroke."

The Rotary Club meets at noon Tuesdays at Grover T's in Milton.
