Navarre Beach chamber welcomes new board member

MELISSA CRUMLEY

NAVARRE — The Navarre Beach Area Chamber of Commerce has appointed Melissa Crumley, with Santa Rosa Medical Group, to its 2017 board of directors.

Crumley will fill an out-of-cycle vacancy by the Navarre chamber's 2017 Nominating Committee and by a majority vote of the 2017 board of directors. Ron Carnes, with ResortQuest by Wyndham Vacation Rentals, resigned his position upon taking a lateral move with ResortQuest by Wyndham Vacation Rentals to Fort Walton Beach.

Crumley, an advanced nurse practitioner, has been a Navarre resident for two years. She is BLS certified and a member of the National Honor Society for Post Graduate Studies. She was also a Registered Nurse in Emergency Medicine and Surgical Intensive Care at Vanderbilt University Medical Center before moving to Navarre.

Her volunteer experience includes being a camp nurse for six years and informative public speaking for Santa Rosa Medical Center's Talk with the Doc forums. She looks forward to being active in the chamber and serving the Navarre community.

Other members of the 2017 board of directors include: Mike Sandler, chair (Hurlburt Chiefs Group), Mike Simpson, chair-elect (Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate), Kelly Fuller, treasurer (100+ Women Who Care Emerald Coast) Gail Acosta (Sandpaper Marketing), Linda Fusco, immediate past chair (All Phase Cleaning), Cindy Berry (Okaloosa Gas District), Shawn Bolender, Jennifer (JB) Bryant (Juana's/Sailors' Grill), Jan Clark (Made for You Gift Venue), Frankie Gibbs, Gerald Gallup (Navarre Beach Laundry), Joey Harrell (Santa Rosa County School District), Sarah Hasty (New York Life Insurance Company), Bob Levinson (Systems of Sound), Dennis Schroeder (Cox Business) and Stacy Wright (University Lending Group).
