Santa Rosa students recognized

PACE — Here are highlights involving area students: 

  • William Carey University has announced the president’s and dean’s list scholars for the winter trimester. Area students earning recognition are: Emily Grace Edwards, president's list, Gulf Breeze; Julie Elizabeth Jackson, president's list, Milton; and Alexia Rachelle Rycroft, dean's list, Gulf Breeze. President’s list scholars have a perfect 4.0 grade-point-average and dean’s list scholars must have at least a 3.5 grade point average. 
  • Deanna Wong of Navarre was inducted into Psi Chi, the international honor society for psychology and social sciences, Chapter 292 of Phi Kappa Phi. It's purportedly the nation's oldest, largest and most selective all-discipline honor society. Wong was recognized for excellence in the study of psychology by the Division of Social Sciences, External Programs at McKendree University. She also graduated from McKendree with a BA in Psychology. 
  • More than 1,300 students were included on the Harding University dean's list for grades achieved during the spring 2017 semester. They included Kathryn English, elementary education major from Milton, and Grant Locklin, management major from Milton. To be eligible, a student must be carrying 12 or more hours with a 3.65 or higher grade-point average and no incompletes.
  • Pace's Allie McRae Smith graduated from Brenau University with a B.A. degree in mass communication during commencement ceremonies May 5 through 6. Smith attended the Women's College campus.
