MILTON — Here are highlights involving area students:
- Troy University full-time undergraduate students who are registered for at least 12 semester hours and who earn a grade-point average of 4.0 qualified for the chancellor's list. Honorees include: Marlayna Adams of Milton, Chloe Berens of Gulf Breeze, Ashleigh Blue of Gulf Breeze, Danielle Bryant of Pace, Hannah Curtis of Gulf Breeze, Bailey Ellis of Pace, Chanda Hawthorne of Jay, Kandace Jernigan of Milton, Madalyn Jordan of Milton, Sydney Lowery of Jay, Taylor Menke of Pace, Paige Thompson of Pace, Amanda Thrasher of Milton, Anna Weaver of Pace and Sarah Holmes of Milton.
Full-time undergraduate students who are registered for at least 12 semester hours and who have a grade-point average of at least 3.65 qualified for the provost's list. Honorees include Dominic Dudai of Navarre, Kayla Flowers of Jay, Kenneth Ford of Bagdad, Steven Householder of Navarre, Olivia Jones of Milton, Jacob McComber of Gulf Breeze, Bethany McKinney of Gulf Breeze, Amy Russo of Milton, Courtney Tucker of Pace, Deed Vann of Navarre, Hope Zalar of Gulf Breeze and Elizabeth Houk of Navarre.
- Berkeley Fortune, of Milton, was named to the spring 2017 dean's list at Berry College. The dean's list honors students who posted an academic average of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale while carrying a class load of at least 12 hours during the semester.
- Mary Carothers, of Navarre, qualified for the spring 2017 dean's list at Belmont University. Eligibility is based on a minimum course load of 12 hours and a quality grade-point average of 3.5 with no grade below a C.
- Santa Rosa Troy University students who completed requirements for graduation during the spring 2017 semester at the Troy campus include Anna Nawoschik of Gulf Breeze, Bachelor of Science; Kirsten Rasmussen of Navarre, Bachelor of Science in Nursing; and Catlin Wills-Vertz of Pace, Bachelor of Science.
- Nathan Bell, of Pace, graduated from Champlain College with a BS degree in Cybersecurity. Champlain College's 139th commencement was held at Edmunds Field in Burlington, Vt.
- Maria Tucker, of Navarre, graduated with a Master of Business Administration at the University of Saint Mary at the Leavenworth, Kansas, campus.
