Catching up with Pace's Connor Howton

PACE— Connor Howton is a senior at Pace High School and No. 21 on the Patriots Varsity Baseball team. On May 23, Connor signed with Coastal Alabama Community College on a baseball scholarship. 

More than 30 teammates and fellow students came to show support for Connor, as well as his parents, Charles and Carla Howton; his neighbors, Glenn and Robin Brooks; his principal, Stephen Shell; his coaches, Jason McBride, Karl Jernigan and Logan Fiasco; and the baseball coach at CACC, Daniel Head. 

Here, we catch up with Connor and learn about his life, baseball career and future aspirations. 

Have you always lived in Pace? 

Yes, I’m from here. 

How long have you been playing baseball? 

I’ve been playing since I was 4 years old. 

What are you going to school to study?

I’m majoring in mechanical engineering. 

What do you like to do in your free time?

 I like to hunt and fish. 

Do you have a favorite television show? 

"Impractical Jokers" is probably my favorite TV show.
