Milton’s Fisher & Hamilton building—why keep it?

[Pixabay.com]

Dear editor,

Wow! What does the City Council and the Santa Rosa County Board of [Commissioners] want?

Way more important, in my opinion, is what do the people who live here, drive Highway 90 every day, in bumper-to-bumper traffic want?

Sorry, Milton Historic Preservation Board, your major objection to a six-lane road is the [Fisher & Hamilton] building. Old, yes, [with] no exterior beauty and county-owned, (we get $1 per year).

Oh, but wait, we get to pay for all repairs, etc., so I have been told. And you cannot go in there for pictures, a tour, the bathroom, etc.

What good is it?

Move it for $1,500,000? No! For what?

Put it to rest, and put Milton in the 21st century. Just my opinion.

WILLIAM WILSON
