MILTON — Here are highlights involving area students. 

UNIVERSITY OF ALABAMA

A total of 11,101 students enrolled during the 2017 spring semester at The University of Alabama were named to the Dean's List with an academic record of 3.5 (or above) or the President's List with an academic record of 4.0 (all A's).

The UA Dean's and President's lists recognize full-time undergraduate students. The lists do not apply to graduate students or undergraduate students who take less than a full course load.

WILLIAM CAREY UNIVERSITY

William Carey University has announced the President’s and Dean’s List Scholars for the spring trimester.

Area students earning recognition are:

  • Dean's List: Emily Grace Edwards and Kayla Danielle Rycroft of Gulf Breeze
  • President's List: Julie Elizabeth Jackson of Milton

President’s List Scholars have a perfect 4.0 grade point average and Dean’s List Scholars must have at least a 3.5 grade point average. 

MIDWESTERN & WHEATON

  • Andrea Johnnelle Meads, of Navarre, graduated from Midwestern State University in May. Meads earned a Master of Science in Exercise Physiology.
  • Andrew Timothy Holland, of Pace, graduated from Wheaton College with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a Media Studies concentration and a minor in Philosophy.
