LETTER: Region lost visionary with death of Reg Moore

On Saturday, May 16, we lost a legend and driving force in the birth of Northwest, Florida.

Reg Moore passed away after having one of the more successful careers in architecture shaping and bringing alive a sleeping giant in the Florida Panhandle.

His buildings shape the skyline of the beaches from Pensacola to Panama City; never in any of the many hurricanes we experienced, did one of his buildings fail to survive the ravages of mother nature.

He was also a quiet gentle man who always had a smile on his face and compliments in his vocabulary about everyone.

Our area was fortunate to have him as his contributions have certainly made it a better place for all of us.

What a great Legacy for a man to leave.

Approximately $300,000,000 for two jets, an F-22 and an F-35, which crashed over a four day period at Eglin.

I hope someone has the clout and good sense to suspend all flight operations until the crash inspection teams have some preliminary conclusions as to cause. Here is food for thought: Right now, so many active duty and civilian personnel have been placed in a leave status for six weeks or more because of the Covid pandemic.

I wonder if there were adequate ground crew to get the jet ready to fly? Something went wrong. Perhaps Covid is just an interloper. It’s just money. Let’s print some more.
