3 things to do in Santa Rosa County

1. ATTEND A BEACH CONCERT. The Navarre Beach Area Chamber of Commerce will continue its 10th annual free summer concert series, Tunes by the Dunes, from 6-8 p.m. Aug. 10 at Navarre Beach Park. The series offers a line-up of 14 free outdoor concerts every Thursday until Aug. 31 at the Sand Crab Pavilion in Navarre Beach Park. This week’s artist is Stevie Hall.

2. ENJOY WATER PLAY. The city of Milton is hosting the Blackwater WaterFest 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 12 at the new event area on South Willing Street in downtown Milton. Children 12 and under can enjoy bouncers and water slides free of charge.

3. LEARN POWERLIFTING TECHNIQUES. The Bar Strength and Conditioning Gym will hold a powerlifting seminar instructed by Blaine Sumner, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 12 at 5941 Berryhill Road in Milton. Blaine currently holds the all time world record in the squat, bench press and total. He will teach proper techniques, form and strength. Seating is limited and tickets can be ordered in advance at www.paypal.me/barstrength or in person at the gym for the cost of $100 per person.
