MILTON — Upcoming Santa Rosa County events and activities are as follows. 

REPUBLICAN CLUB OF SANTA ROSA COUNTY: 6:30 p.m. Sept. 5 at the Club at Hidden Creek, 7030 PGA Blvd., Navarre. The featured speaker is Heritage Foundation Assistant Regional Manager Michael Warner of Washington, D.C. Details: 939-2409.

SEPT. 11 MEMORIAL: 8 a.m. Sept. 11 at Pace Assembly of God, 3948 Highway 90, Pace. Presented by the American Legion Post 78 of Milton. The event will begin with a reading of the timeline of the attacks. Email the American Legion at amleg@att.net to submit the name of a friend or relative lost in the attacks. There will be approximately 300 American flags placed at the event, each representing 10 of the roughly 2,977 victims. BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS OF THE EMERALD COAST’S 4TH ANNUAL STEAK & STAKE FUNDRAISING DINNER: Six-time Olympic medalist Jackie Joyner-Kersee will serve as the guest speaker for the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Emerald Coast’s 4th Annual Steak & Stake fundraising dinner. The general admission seating will begin at 6 p.m. with the program to follow at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 21. VIP tickets are still available which will grant access to the VIP suite at 5 p.m. The Steak & Stake Dinner provides an opportunity for every guest, including donors, community partners and volunteers, to meet with and hear from the direct beneficiaries of their efforts — the club members. Youths sit at every table and have the chance to share their story of why Boys & Girls Clubs of the Emerald Coast has a positive impact on their lives and what the Club means to them. 

MILTON HIGH SCHOOL’S CLASS OF 1972 REUNION: Sept. 29 and 30. 

5 p.m. Sept. 29: Tailgate party at Tanglewood Country Club, 5916 Tanglewood Drive, Milton.  Football game afterward at Milton High.

10 a.m. Sept. 30: Tour of the new school facilities; meet at the school bus ramp.

FALL CHRISTMAS BAZAAR: Oct. 27-28; Point Washington United Methodist Church Woman’s Ministries will have their annual Fall/Christmas Bazaar. VENDORS WANTED: The Milton Eastern Star Chapter seeks vendors for a Christmas Village craft fair set Nov. 4. The event will be held on the grounds of the Santa Rosa Masonic Lodge on Highway 90 in Milton. Food, craft and other vendors are invited to apply. Details: 623-4066.

SANTA ROSA ADULT SCHOOL CLASSES AVAILABLE: Adult education classes include adult high school completion, adult basic education and GED preparation.  For $30 per term, students may select from classes offered in Milton and Navarre. SANTA ROSA ADULT SCHOOL OFFERS ENGLISH LANGUAGE CLASSES FOR NON-NATIVE SPEAKERS: The ESOL class is designed to prepare English learners for working and living in local communities.
