SEPT. 11 MEMORIAL: 8 a.m. Sept. 11 at Pace Assembly of God, 3948 Highway 90, Pace. Presented by the American Legion Post 78 of Milton. There will be approximately 300 American flags placed at the event, each representing 10 of the roughly 2,977 victims. BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS OF THE EMERALD COAST’S 4TH ANNUAL STEAK & STAKE FUNDRAISING DINNER: Six-time Olympic medalist Jackie Joyner-Kersee will serve as the guest speaker for the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Emerald Coast’s 4th Annual Steak & Stake fundraising dinner. The general admission seating will begin at 6 p.m. with the program to follow at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 21. VIP tickets are still available which will grant access to the VIP suite at 5 p.m. The Steak & Stake Dinner provides an opportunity for every guest, including donors, community partners and volunteers, to meet with and hear from the direct beneficiaries of their efforts — the club members. Youths sit at every table and have the chance to share their story of why Boys & Girls Clubs of the Emerald Coast has a positive impact on their lives and what the Club means to them.
