Bagdad park sets 'Dog Days of Summer Fest'

BAGDAD — Dog Days of Summer Fest will take place 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 30 at the Bagdad Mill Site Park, 7024 Magnolia St.

The event features a mile and half-mile fun run with pets. The cost is $5 for a runner with a dog and $10 at maximum for a family, which includes a free hot dog ticket. Organizers encourage attendees to dress as pirates.

Other events include a wiener race and pirate contest for dogs, a K9 agility and training demonstration, and twirlers and gymnasts.

Gates open at 9 a.m. for registration.
