Kindness during Hurricane Irma 'did not go unnoticed'

Dear editor,

We would like to thank the folks of Pace, Florida for their kindness and generosity that was extended to our family and all the other families that evacuated from Hurricane Irma and were camping in the Walmart parking lot.

We were blown away by the number of people that stopped to check on us and ask us if we needed anything. Some gave out homemade cookies and Walmart gift cards. Domino's handed out pizza. Local church representatives came around offering camping space and facilities at their church.

The outpour of concern by all was so appreciated and did not go unnoticed by us.

There are truly some great people in Pace! Thank you!

Dana and Robert Sharman
