1. ENJOY LOCAL MUSIC. Bands on the Blackwater returns 7-9 p.m. Sept. 29 on South Willing Street. The outdoor concert series, held Friday nights in downtown Milton, is free to attend. You can pull up a boat or bring a lawn chair and relax while listening to music. This week’s featured band is Oliver’s Twist.

3. WATCH A COMEDY SHOW. Improvable Cause, a local professional improvisation comedy troupe, will perform 8-10 p.m. Sept. 29 at the Imogene Theatre, 6866 Caroline St., in Milton. 4. LISTEN TO MARCHING BANDS. The 2nd annual Blackwater Classic Marching Band Festival is 4-10:30 p.m. Sept. 30 at Milton High School’s Haywood Hanna Panther Stadium at 5445 Stewart St. Gates open at 3:30 p.m. General admission is $7 per person. Senior adults age 65 and older and active military personnel pay $5. Admission is free for children age 5 and under. The Milton High School Band Parent Association will sell food and beverages at the concessions stands.
5. HAVE FUN WITH YOUR DOG. The Bagdad Waterfronts Florida Partnership will host the Dog Days of Summer Festival 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 30 at Bagdad Mill Site Park, 6953 Main St. in Bagdad. Events will include a mile and half-mile fun run with pets, pony rides, petting zoo, dog agility demonstration, pet grooming demo, gymnastics demo, karate demo and yoga demos. There will be a sheriff K9 and an American veteran dog. Registration for the fun run will be from 9-10 a.m. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. Dress as a pirate and dress your pet up, too. Admission is free to the public, but it costs $5 to enter the fun run with a dog and $10 for a family. Call 626-4037 for more information on the event.
