3 charged in Milton shooting

MILTON — Three men have been arrested in connection with a shooting last month, according to the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were dispatched about 9 p.m. July 19 to Sunny Acres Court in Milton in reference to a shooting, a news release from the Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputies identified Dandre Roberts as the victim. He was taken to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola with injuries to his ear, shoulder and neck.

Investigators discovered three suspects and issued warrants for their arrest. On Saturday deputies arrested Joshua Jaquan Shields, 21, for attempted murder, aggravated assault, grand theft and robbery. Shields is being held at the Santa Rosa County Jail without bond.

The Sheriff’s Office, with help from the U.S. Marshall’s Fugitive Task Force, arrested two other men Monday. Deontrace Levell Bonner, 22, and Kristopher Telacy Brown, 20, were arrested and charged with attempted murder, two counts of aggravated assault, grand theft and robbery.

Bonner and Brown are being held in the Escambia County Jail without bond.
