MILTON — The Santa Rosa Art Association's Oct. 28 meeting will feature guest artist Nina Fritz. She will demonstrate a portrait in oil.

Fritz’s studies have taken her to the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Silvermine Art School in Connecticut and Pennsylvania Academy of Art, as well as Japan, France, Italy and Spain. Fritz holds memberships in several organizations including the Portrait Society of America as a charter member and Oil Painters of America.

In 2011, Fritz was commissioned to be the courtroom artist for the federal health care bill oral arguments held in Pensacola. Her images received nationwide coverage on major networks including ABC, CBS and Fox News.

Fritz’s work, “Las Infantas,” the young princesses of Spain, of the Spanish royal family, were received and placed in the Madrid Palace.

Fritz makes her home in Pensacola with her husband Norman, and seldom allows a day to go by without painting.

The SRAA meets at 9 a.m. on the fourth Saturday of the month at Pensacola State College, Building 4900.

Dues for the year from August to May are $30. If a person is not a member of SRAA, each guest learning session is $10.

Payments and dues can be paid at meetings to Treasurer Paula Knauber.
