ADDICTION TREATMENT CENTER NOW ACCEPTS CIGNA INSURANCE: The Friary at Lakeview Center is now accepting Cigna Insurance for services. The Friary accepts many other health insurance plans including TriCare, and authorization for services is based on medical necessity.
Addiction treatment is not something that an individual or family should ignore. The Friary admissions team is striving to help the community by working with clients to determine their coverages and offer options when insurance won’t fully cover treatment.

SANTA ROSA SCHOOL BOARD MEET AND GREET: 7 p.m. Aug. 7 there will be a "meet and greet" of Santa Rosa School Board candidates at the Parish Hall of St. Mary's Episcopal Church at 6950 Oak, Milton. The event is open to the public.
NOTICE OF PUBLIC INPUT: 6:30 p.m. Aug. 10 at the Guy Thompson Community Center, 5629 Byrom St. the city of Milton will conduct a public meeting to discuss capital improvements for Carpetner's Park. The sole purpose of this meeting will be to iscuss a $250,000 application for a FRDAP Program Grant to help finance construction of the chidlren's water playground facilities at the park.

SANTA ROSA SCHOOL BOARD CANDIDATES MEET AND GREET: 7 p.m. Aug. 7 there will be a meet-and-greet event for Santa Rosa School Board candidates at the parish hall of St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 6950 Oak St., Milton.
SHORT COURSE NORTH: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 9 and 10, Short Course North, a Florida Federation of Garden Clubs sponsored event, will teach gardening and environmental issues at the Escambia County Extension 4-H Building, 3740 Stefani Rd, Cantonment. Discover how to plant and maintain ornamental grasses, pollinator and native plants, shade and rain gardening, and alternatives to turf.
