August events at Imogene Theatre

MILTON — The Imogene Theatre, 6866 Caroline St. regularly holds entertaining and historical events. See what’s coming up at the theatre.

Kyle Verner, of R. E. Development Inc., which manages the Imogene Theatre, says patrons should stop by local restaurants downtown and pick up food for the movie and trivia night. Concession stands will be open so Verner asks that patrons do not bring drinks.

John Berry – Aug. 11

The John Berry Concert will begin at 8 p.m. with doors opening at 7 p.m. Seating is limited to only 350 seats. Tickets are $40. John Berry celebrated 25 years in the music industry this year and hosts his own syndicated television show “Songs and Stories with John Berry” according to his website.

Imogene Theatre History Night – Aug. 17 

Imogene History Night offers a presentation of the history of the Imogene Theatre along with a walking tour of the building. Tickets are $10.

Friends Trivia Night – Aug. 18

Friends Trivia Night is free to attend. Seating is limited and you must be at least 12-years-old to attend. Teams can pre-register the name and team size by messaging Imogene Theatre at their Facebook page. Team size cannot exceed eight members. There will be prizes for the winning team.

Blackwater Blues Breakdown Concert – Aug. 23

The Blackwater Blues Breakdown Concert will begin at 8 p.m. with doors opening at 7:30 p.m. Tickets go on pre-sale for $10, $12 at the door. Performing at the concert are Southern Heartburn, Spearman Brewers, Brett Benton, Lang Holloman & The Soul Bells.

Greg Fitzsimmons – Aug. 24

Greg Fitzsimmons comedy night starts at 8 p.m. with doors opening at 7 p.m. Tickets are on pre-sale for $30. Mixing an incisive wit with scathing sarcasm, Greg Fitzsimmons has achieved success as a stand-up, Emmy Award winning writer and host on both radio and TV.
