Dear editor,
This is in reference to [the Oct. 21] letter to the Press Gazette, “Wake up, white America.”
When I read this letter, it just made me feel sad being classified and judged as a whole race… then I considered the source!
Many times those who point fingers at others are really talking about themselves and their own fears and prejudices.
Of course, there was also the religious and Bible references in [Raymond] Johns' letter.
Here’s one of my own I had planned on sharing with Johns:
Matthew 7:1-3, King James Version
7 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
