The Florida Department of Transportation will hold a public hearing concerning access management changes on State Road 87 at South Lynn Road in Santa Rosa County.
The meeting is set Thursday, Nov. 2, from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites, 8510 Keshav Taylor Drive, Milton. The hearing will begin as an open house at 5:30 p.m., with a formal presentation at 6 p.m., followed by a public comment period.
The intent of this project is to remove the current directional median opening on State Road 87 at South Lynn Road to provide full access, and remove the southbound acceleration lane to accommodate a northbound left turn lane into the properties on the west side of S.R. 87. The project is anticipated to begin spring 2018 and take approximately three months to complete, weather permitting.
