MILTON — Bob Rogers, with the Waterfront Rescue Mission, visited the Milton Rotary Club for its latest meeting.

"He told us their story of how they help those that are homeless to get back on their feet and get some hope back in their lives," a Rotary media release stated. "The Waterfront Rescue Mission exists to give hope, healing and [a] brighter future for those that are in need.

"Their program is a Bible-based program that helps develop self-sufficient, productive members of the community."

The mission’s original building was on Palafox Street, near the water in Pensacola, hence the name Waterfront Rescue Mission.

They have 257 beds for their program clients and overnight guests.
