PENSACOLA —The Red Ribbon Charitable Foundation Inc., for 20 years has built partnerships and funded activities with the goals of reducing new HIV infections and improving the quality of life for those living with HIV in Northwest Florida.
Local World AIDS Day Events include:
Argo’s Go Red Event: Nov. 30, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the University of West Florida’s Commons Auditorium. The event will feature a Zumba-thon, free pizza and T-shirts, and free HIV testing. For more information, contact Wellness Services at 473-7112
National World HIV/AIDS Community Awareness Day: Dec. 1, 5:30 p.m. at Talbot Chapel AME Zion Church, 425 N. Reus St., Pensacola. For more information, contact Georgia Blackmon at 426-1229. Presented by Mother Wit, Inc.; Getting to Zero.
World AIDS Day Event: Dec. 1, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Pensacola State College. The event will include a poster contest and gift prizes for winners, free T-shirts, games and refreshments with free HIV testing available. Presented by SHAPE III Program.
World AIDS Day Event: Dec. 1, 3–6 p.m. at the Raymond Riddle Athletic Park, 1704 North W St. Presented by Escambia County Health Department. For more information, call 595-0050, ext. 1500.
