MILTON — The Santa Rosa Creek Indian Tribe held their 27th annual Pow Wow celebration on Saturday and Sunday at their Tribal Grounds in Milton.
The pow wow was dedicated to their former Vice Chief Lloyd Hinote, who died last year. The event included a Grand Entry Ceremony each day; Native American song and dance; food, including Native American fry bread; handmade jewelry and dream catchers; and Native American artifacts on display.
Revenue made from the pow wow will go toward finishing construction of an educational center on the Tribal Grounds.
