Ethelene Malone, 86 passed away July 10, 2018. She was the daughter of Carl and Ethel Malone of Milton, Fl. She was born in the Ferris Hill area of Milton on January 26, 1932. She is survived by her sister, Jean Armistead of Niceville, FL and many family members. She was predeceased by Lenzo, Freddie, Willard and their sister, Leola Malone.
She was the second generation of Malone Grocery located at Ferris Hill for many years. She enjoyed her life at Ferris Hill surrounded by her family and many friends whom she loved and always was their mentor. Ethelene was an avid animal lover and was survived by two of her beloved dogs, Romeo and Daisy. She also had a donkey named Charlie which was recently relocated because of her illness.
Ethelene always looked forward to the sweet treats from the local bakery, Milton Quality Bakery which was owned by her brother, Lenzo and still owned by his descendants. She loved to fish like her brothers and spent many happy days at Blackwater River.
Ethelene thought all children should be loved and pampered so she was especially proud of her numerous nieces and nephews and their offspring. She was proud of her Irish heritage and interested in the genealogy of her family. She was well known for her compassion and generosity especially to her family whom she strived to instill her Christian values and ethics, led by her example.
The memorial service for Ethelene Malone will be held August 25, 2018 at 3:00 at Ferris Hill Baptist Church located at 6848 Chaffin St., Milton, Fl.
All friends and family are invited to attend with refreshments served afterwards in the church Fellowship Hall.
