3 things to do this weekend in Santa Rosa County

1. MAKE CHRISTMAS GIFTS. Alyssa’s Antique Depot will host a kid’s triple-gift craft class 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Dec. 22 at 4586 Chumuckla Highway in Pace. Rachel Hess will oversee the class and children will make three projects to take home and give as gifts for Christmas. The gifts include: a personalized pillow case, personalized coffee mugs and a wooden sign. The cost is $20 per child and the fee covers all supplies. This event is for children ages 4 to 12 years old; seating is limited. Children should bring a T-shirt or apron to cover their clothes. 2. HUNT PHEASANT. Santa Rosa Shooting Center will hold a pheasant hunt 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Dec. 22 at 6950 Quintette Road in Pace. Hunters will be positioned at 15 stations that circle the center’s new 80-foot tower. At each station, more than 25 pheasants will be thrown from the tower and all shooters will rotate to the next station until all the stations have been shot. Afterward, everyone will gather at the pavilion for lunch while the birds are cleaned, packaged and divided equally among shooters. 3. LOOK AT CHRISTMAS LIGHTS. The Gulf Breeze Zoo will have Zoolights 5-9 p.m. Dec. 22 at 5701 Gulf Breeze Parkway in Gulf Breeze. Guests can enjoy the zoo at night as they admire thousands of sparkling holiday lights. Tickets are $10 for adults and children. Season pass holders receive half-off admission. Last admission is at 8:30 p.m.
