Santa Rosa County students recognized

MILTON — Here are highlights involving area students:

William Carey University has announced the president’s and dean’s list scholars for the fall trimester.

Area students earning recognition are:

  • Cantonment — dean's list: Kathleen Breanna Woods
  • Gulf Breeze — president's list: Bonnie Elisabeth Edwards, Emily Grace Edwards
  • Milton — president's list: Julie Elizabeth Jackson
  • Pensacola — president's list: Adrianna Noelle Bonelli; dean's list: Jonathan Richard Bonelli and Farrah Dawn Nicholas

President’s list scholars have a perfect 4.0 grade point average and dean’s list scholars must have at least a 3.5 grade point average.

Nicholas Lloyd of Gulf Breeze qualified for the fall 2017 dean's list at Belmont University. Eligibility is based on a minimum course load of 12 hours and a grade point average of 3.5 with no grade below a C.

Approximately 35 percent of Belmont's 8,080 students qualified for the fall 2017 dean's list.

"This achievement for the fall semester indicates that these students have placed a high priority on their work at Belmont and have invested time and energy in their studies," Belmont Provost Dr. Thomas Burns said. "It is our strong belief that consistent application in this manner will reap great benefits, which will equip them for a lifetime of learning and growing."
