Gulf Islands National Seashore’s winter (January through February) ranger programs are as follows. All programs are free and are subject to change without notification.
FORT BARRANCAS AREA: Open Thursdays through Mondays 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
FORT BARRANCAS — BASTIONS ON THE BLUFFS: Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays at 2 p.m.; meet at the Fort Barrancas Visitor Center. This 45-minute program involves walking on uneven surfaces, sandy walkways and steps.
FORT PICKENS AREA: Open daily 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
COASTAL ARTILLERY: Saturdays at 11 a.m.; meet at Battery Cooper. This 30-minute program involves walking on uneven surfaces, sandy walkways and steps.
SCHOOL OF THE SOLDIER: Sundays at 11 a.m.; meet at the Fort Pickens Bookstore. This 30-minute program is accessible and includes firing demonstrations when staffers are available.
FORT PICKENS — GUARDIAN OF THE GULF: Daily at 1:30 p.m.; meet at the Fort Pickens Bookstore. This 45-minute program involves walking on uneven surfaces, sandy walkways and steps.
OTHER AREAS:

Perdido Key Area: open daily 5 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Santa Rosa Day Use Area: open 8:30 a.m. to sunset.

Okaloosa Day Use Area: open 8:30 a.m. to sunset.
There will be no public programs on Jan. 1, 5, 8, 15 and Feb. 1.
There is an entrance fee to the Fort Pickens and Fort Barrancas Areas.
