AFP West Florida names board members

PENSACOLA — The Association of Fundraising Professionals West Florida Chapter has announced its 2018 board of directors, including: 

  • President — Shelly Nightengale, University of West Florida
  • Vice President — Sally McConnell, Independence for the Blind, West
  • Secretary — Christie Parker, Covenant Care
  • Treasurer — Heather Moorer, Baptist Health Care Foundation
  • Vice President, National Philanthropy Day Chair — Maegan Leonard, Baptist Health Care Foundation
  • Vice President, Co-chair National Philanthropy Day — Tori Fish, University of West Florida
  • Vice President, Communications — Megan Chapman, Gulf Coast Kid’s House
  • Vice President, Membership Chair — Cassie Redmyer, National Flight Academy
  • Vice President, Co-chair Membership — Natalie Chism
  • Vice President, At Large — Alyssa Tucker, Episcopal Day School
  • Board Member Emeritus — Laverne Baker, Laverne Baker and Associates
  • Board Member Emeritus — Sonya Davis, Davis Management Solutions
  • Board Member Emeritus — Patrice Whitten, Pensacola State College 

A membership social is set 5:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 22 at Polonza Bistro, 286 N. Palafox St.

The event is open to anyone interested in learning more about AFP and will give attendees the opportunity to meet new board members. Appetizers and drinks will be served.

The Association of Fundraising Professionals, an international organization comprising over 30,000 fundraisers in more than 230 chapters, works to advance philanthropy through advocacy, research, education and certification programs.
