The University of Alabama awarded some 2,077 degrees during winter commencement Dec. 16. Among the recipients were:
Kathryn Ann Jackson of Navarre, Master of Arts
Nolan Matthew Kitchin of Navarre, Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
Christopher Patrick Noble, Jr. of Jay, Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering

Nicole Hoog of Navarre, is among Southeast Missouri State University's fall 2017 graduates.
Hoog graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing with a major in nursing.

Madeline Emholtz, of Gulf Breeze, is a member of Ashland University's Alexander Hamilton Society.
Emholtz, who is majoring in history, is a 2014 graduate of Gulf Breeze High School.
Ashland University is a mid-sized, private university located a short distance from Akron, Cleveland and Columbus, Ohio.
The Alexander Hamilton Society seeks to gather students and prominent members of the foreign policy, national security and international affairs community to foster debate and discussion and create a network of students and professionals to use to their advantages.
AHS is an independent, non-partisan, not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting constructive debate on basic principles and contemporary issues in foreign, economic and national security policy.

Sage Chambers has been accepted into Culver-Stockton College's fall 2018 incoming class.
Chambers, a senior at Navarre High School and from Gulf Breeze, was also awarded the Promise academic scholarship.
Culver-Stockton College, located in Canton, Mo., is a four-year residential institution in affiliation with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). C-SC specializes in experiential education and is one of only two colleges in the nation to offer the 12/3 semester calendar, where the typical 15-week semester is divided into two terms, a 12-week term and a three-week term.
The C-SC Wildcats are members of the Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) and the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics.
