PACE — Daniel Hahn, the plans section chief for Santa Rosa County’s Division of Emergency Management, will speak during the next Santa Rosa Tea Party Patriots meeting.
Hahn will speak 6 p.m. Feb. 12 at the Pace Community Center located at the Santa Rosa Sportsplex, 5976 Chumuckla Highway, Pace.
He will talk about the Santa Rosa County Emergency Management operation and how it serves the county in many areas; he also will address current issues such as church security.
The presentation will feature a time for questions and answers.
In addition to Hahn’s Emergency Management duties, he is the Citizen Corps coordinator and the coordinator of SAFER Santa Rosa, a nonprofit focused on building community resilience.
He was named the Florida Emergency Preparedness Association 2009 Emergency Management Professional of the Year and is a Certified Emergency Manager through the International Association of Emergency Managers.
Hahn earned his master’s degree in emergency and disaster management at American Military University. He also has an MBA with a specialization in homeland security policy and leadership.
He serves on the boards of Bridges Out of Poverty and Healthy Start and he teaches emergency management courses online for three institutes of higher learning.
