MILTON — The Florida Department of Transportation will hold a public hearing concerning the U.S. Highway 90 Project Development & Environment Study.
The meeting is 5:30-6:30 p.m. Feb. 22 at the Santa Rosa County Auditorium, 4530 Spikes Way, Milton.
The intent of this project — that spans Scenic Highway in Escambia County to Glover Lane in Santa Rosa County — is to widen the roadway from four to six lanes and make access management modifications. Right-of-way acquisition will be required, and the project is currently not funded for design, right-of-way or construction in the FDOT Five Year Work Program.
The hearing will begin as an open house at 5:30 p.m., with a formal presentation at 6 p.m., followed by a public comment period. Maps, drawings and other information regarding the improvements will be on display.
FDOT representatives will be available to discuss proposed improvements, answer questions and receive comments.
Meeting attendees also can provide input on the reclassification of U.S. 90 from west of Chuckle Highway/Floridatown Road to west of West Spencer Field Road from Access Class 6 to Access Class 5.
