MILTON — The officially recognized day for trick-or-treating in Milton is Halloween, Oct. 31, according to Milton Public Information Officer Pamela Holt.
And Milton's going to observe that day for the occasion.
“Some communities have celebrated Halloween on a different day because the thirty-first of October fell on Sunday (in the past), but the city of Milton acknowledges Halloween on the thirty-first regardless of the day of the week,” Holt said.
There is no set time for trick-or-treating, officially.
However: "The city of Milton would like for drivers to execute extreme caution traveling through neighborhoods on the evening ofOct. 31for the observance of Halloween," Holt said. "Please be aware of parents and children traveling on foot beginning in early evening and throughout the night."
