Dear editor,
Democrat Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez stated "I have three months without a salary before I'm a member of Congress. So, how do I get an apartment? Those little things are very real,". "There are many little ways in which our electoral system isn’t even designed (nor prepared) for working-class people to lead". "This is one of them (don’t worry by the way – we’re working it out!)". "We're kind of just dealing with the logistics of it day by day, but I've really been just kind of squirreling away and then hoping that gets me to January."
First, she indicates it is her that is dealing with it, then she indicates it is them. Second, she has three months as a working-class person to work, who is paying for her N.Y.C. apartment right now? Third, she was not elected under the electoral system which is used for only our presidential election and moves into the White House. Fourth, ever heard of taking out a loan or sleeping in her office as some House members have done and some are doing. The average house salary is $174,000 a yr. or $14,500 monthly, the lowest is $10,150 monthly.
Yes, Cortez will be great for N.Y.C., someone else who knows little but understands even less, is not prepared except for her democrat pie in the sky, and the oxymoron of her needing government's help to figure it out for her!
