Trump gets his FL Three Stooges

Dear editor,

No, not Curly, Moe, and Larry, I mean Rick, Ron, and Matt. All of our local  Florida representatives have taken the path of Alabama’s Jeff Sessions.  They have (at least on the surface) openly pledged allegiance to the Donald and leaned on his endorsement.  And, as the Donald has said after the midterms, all the Republicans who have not ‘embraced’ him have lost and of the 11 Republicans who did embrace him, 9 of them won (so far).  So, if all 3 end up winning (not final yet) then to Trump he will have total support from the luckiest state in the whole USA.

But, wait a minute, what happened to the fourth stooge, Shemp, over in Alabama? I mean, Jeff Sessions was almost the first to pledge allegiance to the Donald, in fact, I believe he was the first).  Oh oh, he stopped doing what the Donald wanted, and look what happened to him. He got fired! (Or, asked to resign, maybe this is more polite).  Poor Jeff, he just didn’t understand or wishfully hoped it wasn’t true that the Donald’s modus operandi was the old adage called ‘it’s my way or the highway”.

So, we’ll have to wait and see how our 3 currently elected leaders fare, as they push to optimize life for all of us here in Florida (our goal in electing them).   Will they only try to stay in the good graces of the POTUS, or will they take on the wrath of the POTUS when our Florida priorities get in the way and get ostracized?

We should all be pushing our representatives to fight for Florida first, all the way.  So, let’s see what gets proposed for us Floridians if our Florida needs for Medicare, Social Security and Healthcare don’t line up with Washington!  Then we’ll know if  our representatives are on Trump’s highway or Florida’s.
