Appreciation for the Press Gazette

Dear editor,

As a periodic writer of various ‘Letters to the Editor’, I would personally like to take this opportunity, during the Christmas season, to thank our Press Gazette and its entire staff for the forum they provide for doing this in our community. This is what free press is all about. This is how we can see how others feel about important issues.

And whether I agree with Chrys Holley or Steven King or the many other contributors, their comments allow me and others to see where we each stand on various issues. It is a great source for introspection and subsequent feedback and a great place to argue and disagree with no adverse consequences.

I encourage others to join those of us who do write. I know we all think we are helping our society by sharing our views.  Also, an educated and communicating society is a great thing for America.

I hope the ‘Letters to the Editor’ help increase community interest in getting in the foray with the rest of us. I look forward to each subsequent issue to see what’s going to be said next.

Finally — I hope the subscriptions to the Gazette increase as people look forward to our weekly verbal sparrings and maybe even decide to join in. God Bless the whole Gazette staff, they do an amazing job putting this paper together  each week.
