Penguin Plunge
NAVARRE — Sign up today to take the plunge or show off paddle board skills at the 10th Annual Penguin Plunge & Paddle at Juana’s Pagodas Sailors’ Grill in Navarre Beach Jan. 1 at 12:30 p.m. Register on-line at juanaspagodas.com/penguinplunge.htm. The cost is $20 and benefits the Santa Rosa Kids' House and the Emerald Cost Children's Advocacy Center.
Tobacco cessation classes
MILTON — Quitting tobacco isn’t easy. Finding help should be. Tobacco Free Florida offers free tools and services to help you get started.
For those 18 years old, if medically appropriate, the Florida Department of Health offers free nicotine replacement patches, lozenges and gum.
The department also offers free community, worksite and clinic groups.
Classes will be available through 2019 on site at the department’s Santa Rosa County location, 5527 Stewart St. in Milton. Quit Smoking Now takes place at 5:30 p.m. on Thursdays. Tools To Quit takes place 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursdays.

Riverwalk Arts Festival
MILTON — This is a call for artists. Santa Rosa Art and Culture Foundation is gearing up for another Riverwalk Arts Festival scheduled for March 2 and 3 in Milton's downtown riverwalk area. Applications are posted on the Santa Rosa Arts & Culture Web site at SRACF.org. All registrations postmarked before Dec. 31 will receive 10 percent off. Call 723-4863 with any questions. Registration is open for fine arts, heritage folk art, food vendors, business networking, and cultural performances.
