PACE — The Panhandle Community Theatre is beginning its season with the play The Dixie Swim Club, written by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope and Jamie Wooten. Gail Ready will direct.
The play revolves around five southern women, whose friendships began many years ago on their college swim team. They set aside a long weekend every August to recharge those relationships. Free from husbands, kids and jobs, they meet at the same beach cottage on North Carolina’s Outer Banks to catch up, laugh and meddle in each other’s lives.
Show dates are Jan. 31 to Feb. 3 and Feb. 7 to 10. Thursday to Saturday shows begin at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday matinees begin at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 with cash-only ticket sales at the door. For more information call 221-7599.
