StoryCorps: Military Voices Initiative
PENSACOLA — WUWF 88.1 and StoryCorps — a nonprofit that records and preserves people’s stories — will collect and share stories of veterans and their families through April 19 in their mobile studio booth. According to WUWF, all stories collected will be archived in the Library of Congress. There are only 50 slots available for interviews. Visit www.wuwf.org/storycorps to sign up.
Forsyth House Egg Hunt
The Hop Along egg hunt is 10 a.m. April 13 at the Forsyth assisted living facility, 5887 Berryhill Road, Milton. Egg hunters will be separated into appropriate age groups. There will be lots of eggs, goodies, a cotton candy machine, and more.
AARP Smart Driver Course
The American Association of Retired Persons Smart Driver course is 9 a.m. April 15 at Locklin Education Building, Santa Rosa Medical Center, 6002 Berryhill Road, Milton. The six-hour course is designed for seniors over 50, but is open to all drivers. Course completion may help lower participants’ insurance costs. Cost is $15 for AARP members and $20 for nonmembers. Food Giveaway
The King's Harvest and Cornerstone Christian Church's first-come, first-serve food giveway is 5 p.m. April 15 at 14047 Alabama St., Jay.The food will go to anyone who has a need. Feel free to come and invite others for the food giveaway.
Tobacco cessation classes
Tobacco Free Florida offers free tools and services to help you quit tobacco. For those 18 years old, if medically appropriate, the Florida Department of Health offers free nicotine replacement patches, lozenges and gum. It also offers free community, worksite and clinic groups.
Classes are at 5527 Stewart St., Milton. Preregistration is required. Call 398-6965 to reserve a spot.
Quit Smoking Now classes are 5:30 p.m. April 25 to May 23 and May 30 to June 27.
Tools To Quit classes are 5-7 p.m. Nov. 29 and Dec. 13.
Daddy-Daughter Dance
The Navy League and Milton Rotary Club will have their first Daddy-Daughter Dance 6-9 p.m. April 27 at St. Rose of Lima Church, 6451 Park Ave., Milton. Tickets are $25 for a couple (one daddy and one daughter), and $10 for each additional daughter at www.MiltonFloridaRotaryClub.com. Refreshments will be served.
Golf tournament and goodie bags
The Pace Area Chamber of Commerce is accepting entries and sponsorships for the Tom Stewart Annual Golf Classic 11 a.m. May 10 at Stonebrook Golf Club, 3200 Cobblestone Drive, Pace. The shotgun start is at noon. A mulligan and tee buster package is available May 10 for $20 per person. It includes two mulligans and one red tee buster. Sponsorships start at $100.
The chamber is also accepting goodie bag stuffers for its annual golf tournament on May 10. At least 80 of each item is needed no later than May 6. The bags are given to players are a way for companies to advertise their business.

Fish House Craft Beer Festival
The Sixth Annual Fish House Craft Beer Festival for ages 21 and up is 3-6 p.m. June 19 on the deck of The Fish House, 600 E. Barracks St., Pensacola. Florida Friendly Landscaping Principles Class
Learn about the right timing and methods for fertilizing and weed control, proper irrigation, and other lawn practices from Mary Salinas, Santa Rosa County Extension Office. No pre-registration is required.
Milton: Classes are 10-11 a.m. second Fridays at the SRC Extension Office, 6263 Dogwood Drive, Milton.
Gulf Breeze: Classes are 1-2 p.m. third Fridays at the Gulf Breeze Library, 1060 Shoreline Drive.
