Taken about 1909, this Florida Memory photograph shows the Stearns and Culver Lumber Company's Engine #1 at a logging camp in the Svea Region. The company was owned by Justus Smith Stearns (April 10, 1845 þÄì February 14, 1933). He was an American lumber baron and businessman. The company operated out of Bagdad, Florida.
