PACE — A public community workshop on the proposed master site plan for Benny Russell Park will be held at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 17 at the Pace Community Center in the Santa Rosa SportsPlex, 5976 Chumuckla Highway in Pace.

Genesis, a consulting firm specializing in park planning, landscape architecture and civil engineering, will present a a conceptual plan for the park based on feedback from the public meeting in May and results from an online survey. A color rendering of the proposed park facilities will be on display to support discussion and staff will be available to take feedback and answer questions.

"This is an exciting time for our great community," said District 1 Commissioner and Vice Chairman Sam Parker. "I am hoping many community members will provide input on how we can continue improving this terrific park to better meet the recreational needs of our county's residents."
