Santa Rosa September events include regatta, corn mazes

MILTON — Several activities are scheduled in September throughout Santa Rosa County.

•The 29th annual Juana Good Time Regatta is Sept. 6, 7 and 8 at Juana’s Pagodas, 1451 Navarre Beach Causeway, Navarre Beach. It's for experienced and novice racers, and open to all sizes of multi-hull sailboats. Food and live music are part of it. •Art Uncorked Navarre will three painting events at Pik-Itz, 1922 Highway 87, Navarre. They are designed to help uncork creative spirit, uncork fun with friends and uncork a bottle of a favorite beverage at group painting classes. The first one is 6-8:30 p.m. Sept. 7, and attendees will paint a turtle. The second class is 6:30-9 p.m. Sept. 13, and attendees will paint plumeria. •Shark School is 9-10 a.m. Sept. 12 and 26 at the Navarre Beach Sea Turtle Conservation Center, 8740 Gulf Blvd., Navarre. Students will learn about Gulf Coast sharks, shark biology and shark conservation. Students will also enjoy arts and crafts, a shark tooth treasure hunt and early entry into the center. •Bands on the Blackwater, a free outdoor concert series, is 7-9 p.m. Sept. 13, 20 and 27 at Jernigan’s Landing, 5158 Willing St., Milton. •The Holland Farms Pumpkin Patch & Maze will be open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays, Sept. 21 through Nov. 3 at 2055 Homer Holland Road, Milton. Enjoy a hayride around the farm and pick a perfect pumpkin. New this year is the Holland Farms Mining Company and tennis ball cannons. Activities include: corn box, horse and regular swings, spider web, pirate ship, zip lines, pedal tractors on racetrack, and an eight-acre corn maze with kiddie maze. •The 38th Annual St. Rose of Lima International Fall Festival is 4-9 p.m. Sept. 27; 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sept. 28, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 29 at St. Rose of Lima church, 6451 Park Ave., Milton. The event includes international and festival food including Filipino, Polish, Italian and more. There will be rides, live music, indoor bingo, raffle and over 40 arts and crafts vendors. •Sonshine Family Farms Corn Mazes and Mini Golf will be open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturdays and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sundays Sept. 28 though Nov. 3 at 6270 Oglesby Road, Milton. It offers two corn mazes in one with games to play inside the mazes. Other activities include hayrides, fishing pond, playground area with swings, slides, kiddie train ride, zip line, horse and pony rides, tether ball courts, nine-hole mini golf course, corn toss boards and a concession stand with refreshments and food. •Arcadia Kid’s Crafts are 10 a.m. to noon Sept. 28 at the Arcadia Mill, 5709 Mill Pond Lane, Milton. •Enjoy a day on a working Santa Rosa County farm during the Sweet Season Farms Corn Maze and Fall Fun Festival. Hours are 6-10 p.m. Fridays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sundays Sept. 28 through Nov. 3 at 2260 Horn Road, Milton. Navigate through an eight-acre corn maze, play in over 20 types of farm-themed areas. Activities include a cow train, beeline zipline, corn popper jumping pillow, hayride, barnyard ball, and playground. A bakery and other foods will be available.
