All About Food donates more than $500 to Milton Cemetery

Members of the ‘All About Food’ restaurant and catering service in Milton present a check of more than $500 to Bill Bledsoe, manager of the Milton Cemetery. The restaurant donated a portion of proceeds to the local cemetery to financially assist with upkeep at the historical site. Presenting the check from the left are ‘All About Food’ representatives Steve House, Nan Foster and Cole Foster.

The Milton Cemetery currently has an additional $500 to use on maintaining grounds thanks to a weeklong fundraiser from the Milton restaurant and catering service, ‘All About Food.’

Bill Bledsoe, the manager of the cemetery, said the funds will be used to purchase new flag poles and maintain lawn maintenance equipment for the cemetery.

Bledsoe was very thankful for the support the cemetery received from the local business.

“We appreciate any help we can get,” Bledsoe said.

From Feb. 10 through 14, the restaurant collected proceeds from sales. ‘All About Foods’ owner Steve House said he wanted to help in anyway.

“It’s just one of those things a lot of people don’t know about,” House said in regards to the cemetery’s upkeep.

Bledsoe said the cemetery has limited funding to work with in regards to maintaining the historical site.

To assist in maintaining the grounds, members of the Milton High School JROTC will volunteer in doing providing lawn maintenance at the cemetery this Saturday, Bledsoe said.
