Man drowns in Blackwater Bay

According to a report from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), Christopher Brown, 42, died on July 4 while on a boat on Blackwater Bay near Escribano Point. The reported said there were no arrests in the drowning but alcohol was a factor.

Brown, along with Angela Brown and Michael Foster were on a 16-foot open motorboat, the report said and Brown relieved himself at the stern of the vessel. According to the report, he fell off. Since he was unable to swim, he subsequently drowned. The boat was not in operation at the time of the incident.
