MILTON — History and fantasy, magic and music, combat and dancing, these were elements of the Gulf Coast Renaissance Faire and Pirate Festival. The faire held its first Santa Rosa County event at the Santa Rosa County Fairgrounds and June Ates Arena.

The faire featured Society for Creative Anachronysm combat and full-contact jousting as well as bellydancers, musicians and a juggling comedian. Multiple vendors also sold historical and fantastical garb, weapons and other items.

Children and adults attended the faire in modern attire and a portion in their own interpretations of renaissance or medieval wear.
