MPD: Silverado fails to yield to motorcycle

Driver of the Chevy Silverado failed to yield to traffic and struck a motorcycle. A bystander and coworker to the rider said he suffered a broken arm. "I'm alive," the rider told her.

During evening rush hour, Friday, the driver of a Chevy Silverado pulled out from the Six Flags Shopping Center and struck a gray Honda Shadow. The truck hit the motorcycle, putting the bike on its side and pinning the front wheel. The rider suffered a broken arm according to a bystander and coworker, who said he was elated to be alive. Officer Smith with the Milton Police Department (on the left, behind the motorcycle) said it was cut and dry; the driver failed to yield to oncoming traffic. The rider was taken by ambulance to the hospital.
